Tiffin-Franciscan Glass Pattern: Lyndley or Carillon?

I found matches for my parent’s stemware (sherbets) on Replacements, but there are two similar patterns. Replacements calls these “Champagne/ Tall Sherbet” (5 ¼ inches high, 4 1/8 inches wide) in either the Lyndley (Platinum Trim) or the Carillon pattern by Tiffin-Franciscan. It think it is Carillon, but I would like to see if others agree.

Second Q: Is the stem cut or pressed glass? Replacements says both patterns are “blown glass” and calls the designs “cut leaves” (Lyndley) and “cut vines” (Carillon). My knowledge is limited, but I think that blown glass can be cut, but that pressed glass can be blown into the mold.

I am posting pictures of my parents’ crystal and giving the urls for Replacement’s “look-alikes” (because obviously I do not have the copyright to post their images).

Replacements can sometime create confusion in the naming of makers and patterns. Tiffin was a part of U.S. Glass located in Tiffin, Ohio and changed names thru the years. Technically Tiffin and Franciscan should be listed separately to avoid confusion.

Your set could be either Tiffin or Franciscan 'Carillon'. It's a pressed pattern with cut motif.
Franciscan either made new stock using the Tiffin #17646 stem with the 'Carillon' cutting or more likely sold old stock with their Franciscan sticker. I couldn't find an ad or catalog for the Franciscan cutting named 'Carillon' but did locate an old listing on WP with a Franciscan sticker:

    'Carillon' with Tiffin sticker:

here's a bit of info on Tiffin history and other comparisons for their #17646 stem.

the same stem with a cut leaf motif was named 'Lyndley'

TallCakes comes through again! Thank you so much for your extensive efforts.

I am not sure how to learn whether these came out under the Tiffin or Franciscan name, since the labels are long gone. (I think...It turns out that this stemware covers half the top shelf of the china cabinetry, so when I go over them, I will look carefully for any labels.) I noticed that every eBay ad for Carillon champagne/sherbets said "Tiffin-Francescan," undoubtedly following Replacements' nominclature.

Since it was an Ohio company, I hypothesized it would be more likely purchased when my parents lived in Ohio and not when they were moving or when living overseas. So my most likely dating hypothesis is 1968-69. By that date (1968) Franciscan had purchased the company but was issuing stemware using both Tiffin and Franciscan labels. (As you say, selling old Tiffin stock.) But that is more information than other sellers have. (I noticed several say their Carillon stemware was made in the 1950s, before the 1960 date Replacement offers as the start of Carillon and Lyndley.)
