I'm not sure about most of this glass or pottery

We went to a large apartment today and are looking at buying all of the contents. There is lots and lots of glassware and ceramics. I took pictures of just a small percentage of it. I'm hoping you might be willing to help me - we are probably going to buy it anyway but if there was some good stuff besides the furniture it would help decide us. I apologize in advance for the bad photos. Oh yeah, and I couldn't even flip most stuff over and take pictures!

I don't see any really high dollar items unless maybe those birds are good Murano. There is definitely some value there if you can buy it right.

The mantle lusters (red base with prisms hanging from it) generally do very well in pairs $$$. Is there only one? I like the matched pair of majolica vases with women on them. They do not look American or English. Maybe German or Austrian which are not as popular, but there are a few respected makers. Also, in the background are two large punch bowls that look good. ABP looking one and a Venetian reddish looking one that might bring good $$. Also, what is the big handled piece in the background that kinda looks like a pottery basket? I would love to go through the drawers and closets for sleepers. Is the china/dinnerware and flatware part of the sale? Any clocks?

There is only one mantle luster that I saw. The dinnerware is included. I'm not sure about the flatware.

Picture #1 - Coffee pot with S&C probably Bavarian, Czech 1950s not much $
But the cased glass cruet in the back with the amber handle might be something - is there a stopper, it would most likely be amber. I also see a Fenton silver crest bowl.

#2 - Bohemian Lustre they were sold in pairs. High dollar for 2
Blue opalescent in background might be something.

#3 - Fenton - yes Cranberry on left with enamel flowers might be something.
#4 Possibly Bryce of LG Wright Daisy and Button
    #5 Japanese Satsuma? guessing
#6 2 Fenton glass shoes. That green bowl looks interesting as does the paperweight. But would need to see the bottoms. To the right - Looks like a large Mudman
#7 ? Need to see bottom
#8 German or Japan. If German possibly $ Front left another piece of Fenton rose crest? Behind that a piece of Cranberry, not Fenton, earlier.
#9 Pair of vases, most likely Austrian turn of century. Need to see mark.
#10 Hand painted Bristol style nice but doesn't sell well.
#11 Gnome will sell because he is cute. LOL
#12 & 13 Bird vases - Hand painted on milk glass. Could be American or European. With out attribution, a hard sell
#14 Is the vase Lenox? The two figurines could be German or Japanese.
#15 Looks like Fenton Wedgwood ashtrays sell between 18 - 22
#16 Possibly made for Tiara - is that the same cranberry piece in the back or a different one?
#17 Hard to tell what some of that is. Two birds might be new. Decanters do well at the holidays.

If it were me and the price were right I would go for it.

Last picture - Lladro angel and Belleek pig.
The glass below looks good, but need to see it better. Looks turn of century. Not Fenton.

I like the older gentleman sitting there watching you - making sure you don't break anything.

Thanks cluttered closet. There is so much stuff - it was hard to sift out visually in the short time I was there the good from the indifferent. I also had to take photos of each piece of furniture - about 45.

No big $$$ with the china or the linden clock.

Well we will probably buy it all today and start packing up today or tomorrow. I'll label the boxes well because this stuff might not see the light of day again for a while - that way I can open up a few boxes with the things you've all mentioned and look more closely at them.

Of course, everything depends upon the price. But I would certainly have purchased all of it. Maybe there aren't any real high dollar items, but everything looked like a sure thing to sell. So I give it all credit for that. If you sell at a B&M location, there's lots of pretty things here that will do well for you there, as well as selling some items on line. Nice haul!

  16. On the server that the murano birds are on the decanters on the bottom shelf look to have the potential to be Waterford.
