Featured Huge studio pottery vase

    Grabbed this in the charity shop near work at dinner time today. It's around 33cm tall and weighs plenty. 6kg maybe more. It has a pottery mark near the base but I can't fathom the letters. A lot of variables. The glaze is beautiful and reminds me of a Mdina pallette.

    thinking its gotta be this way round (stumpy bottle type shape) with RLL RLE ?

    Yeah. Looks a lot more like letters that way round too. Maybe a bottle or a building shape...

    its not identical but not a million miles away either

    the decoration on the aberwelsh one does look in a similar style as well

    oh agree, that on a large white square floor pedestal in a fine studio gallery........SOLD :)

    The pottery mark coupled with the handles and glaze sway me the Bell Hughes way for sure. Shame the mark isn't too clear.
