Featured Really Interesting Sugar Bowl ID Help Needed

    HI..I got this interesting sugar bowl in a box lot. All hand painted. Maybe some type of stoneware. I am also trying to determine if the crazing is real or faked. Thanks for looking! DSC08030.JPG DSC08028.JPG

    The crazing looks old. It's odd though that it has all of that tea (?) staining but the gilding on the lid is intact. Maybe they didn't wash the lid much. It's very Deco in style.

    Ditto, firmly Art Deco. Intentional crazing was a thing in those days, it isn't fake, it is the style.

    I don't see any tea stains anywhere, but maybe I'm just not fully awake yet.:yawn:;)

    It’s more like Honiton or early Poole to my eye. I don’t see tea stains either, it’s a buff clay body, that’s all.
