I like the glaze on the handled vase. The cattails don't look Japanese to me but who knows.

I picked up this 10k diamond ring for $7. No great shakes, diamonds aren't the best, but it was fun to find.

And some thirfted/estate sale/flea market Christmas items. The singing tree was $5, The Goebels madonna was $4, vintage Santa and Mrs. Claus salt & pepper shakers $6, 1960s Santa $1, and Annalee reindeer $6.

The Christmas stuff was a score.

Nice little ring for a whopping $7. Are those gray diamonds? If so they're now a "fancy" color instead of off-color. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Thanks. Isn't it amazing what promotional campaigns can do? Have you seen the prices for "salt and pepper" diamonds? They are heavily included, grayish....basically grabbed it for the gold.

I've never heard of those; they sound like industrial diamonds with pretensions.

Wonder how long they sat on these heavily included diamonds before they came up with a way to market them & make us think they're really special. What's 'better' with these? More inclusions? More evenly spaced inclusions?

I think they give a "goth" vibe, and they are something "new," so there are buyers.

Goth fits. At least you know they aren't factory created stones.

These are : I finally am logged in where I have a picture of the Boucher pin I found a while ago. It's mid to late 50s and missing two little blue stones, but for about a buck I wasn't arguing. 20251130_194607.jpg

As a fan of rutilated quartz I have to admit I find those diamonds rather intriguing! It's like they are SO flawed they go back around the circle and become just unique. I would take a couple nice big ones for earrings if someone was offering. Not at those prices though.

Looks like a snow globe full of black ash.
