Checking on these again ~ posted about 8 years ago. Brass with silvering 90% gone, 9" tall. A German style ? Folks thought they were 20th century reproductions, but they seem older to me, maybe 1850-80's done in a 17th century style ? Very nicely cast in 5 pieces each.

Very nice, Drew...I don't see anything 20th C there. The sweet spot for me are those drip catchers, an the cast-in decorative motifs...Yummy!

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

They are very nice, @Drew . I don't remember your older post, but agree with @wlwhittier that they seem older than 20th century. What does it say on the piece of masking(?) tape on the bottom?

Believe the tape says 'McCallin'. Looks 50-75 year old tape, possibly an owners name - Thinking the design is Germanic, or Flemish ?

I don't know enough about that to say, but it is a nice design.

I'd venture the sticks.....way older than the tape.;)

Just speculation on my part, but looking at the silvering on the bases and the number '32' impression, these do seem mid 19th c. - there is a crudeness you generally don't see with better quality pieces like these made post 1860's. They were welcome accessories at our Christmas dinner and got some compliments. upload_2026-1-3_10-3-39.jpeg
