Hi all, I picked up this little basket today. measures 3 1/2" diameter wide and is 2 1/2" tall. I hope someone can tell me who made it, and is it native American?

That would be nice. Not far from home if it is. I'm in Northern California.

Usually described as "Hupa," but neighboring tribal members, like the Kurok and Yurok, use the same general materials and weaving techniques, so it might depend on the individual weaver...which is often unknown. But safe to call it "Hupa," and a good find!
