seeking info on 1920s "portable bar"

    Just looking back over this thread and also the article I've just published, I realized that I should clarify something about the price (this goes back to the original posting): Baker himself, in a private letter written in the late 1930s, said that the Bar-ette retailed for $175. There is no price given in the Time blurb, but in a New Yorker ad from the same time, the price is given as $125. Thanks to Bronwen for cropping & posting the close-up image just above. Again, if anyone on this forum has come across or comes across such an item, I would love to hear about it.
