    its quite a lovely one actually, you can see that its had a lot of use by the handling areas and gotta be in the antique zone

    wouldn't mind seeing it up on its feet (wink)

    guessing that recess area in the mid section once had rope ?

    The opening for filling is not very big. How would you get water into one? By submersing?

    They'd be filled from a fountain or well. Here's a photograph of one being filled at a fountain in the Alpujarras.
