This is a "what am I going to do with it". Use or pass it to a collector?

    What I know:
Mine looks like an average lightbulb but is very heavy.
It is a Sylvania Capsylite lightbulb, 60/120 the number appears to be J318
It is approx 4¼" in length
    It weighs over 5 oz.

    What I don't know:
I don't seem to be able to find a similar bulb in the shape of mine or with the information stamped on the end in such a manner. For the most part the older ones seem to be a odd shapes and often with the adjusted wattage and more modern typeface.

My sister handed it to me as she moved house years ago and said she thought it was really old and I liked old things so it was mine. That's it's history. It does still work.

I don't know exactly if it would be of any collector interest or if I should just use it.

    What I've found:
The Capsylite seems to be an early halogen bulb made by Sylvania introduced in the 1980s. I believe there is something about a diode to switch it inside which is why such heavy glass.

This website has some information and this is the one they show.

These look similar to yours in terms of the shape and base style, but the model and lettering/logo are different.
