    Alo the orange and coffee choclates from Quality Street, that no one ever seems to finish and lollypop sticks ( not sure why but always lollypopsticks) and the remote control trople A battery.

    Hi everyone
    @antidiem
    I pulled the dust cover of the bottom of this city and made a video. And took some photos.
    It appears to have been strengthened on the inside reframed on the inside.
    The original framing seems to have a lot of nail holes in it. As someone else said looks like it's been reupholstered a few times.
    The interior of the original external frame is quite fresh and pale. Where a piece of the gold layer has chipped off you can see white plaster or something underneath but then in other places you can also see the pink colored bole.
    Here is the video

    Talk about a gap in the posting dates.

    I wanted to start a new thread but thought it might be against the rules.
    Keen to know when this was originally made.
    Who can I tag that's a furniture expert?
    @verybrad ?

    Chat GPT thinks from the photos
    High-quality Louis XVI Revival giltwood settee, c. 1885–1910, probably continental European or English workshop working to French taste.
    Seems to think it sees burnishing technique
