When the frame broke it was white, slightly translucent resin.
I don't know if the frame is original to the painting.

Here's an ebay offering of the same subject, dated 1931.

Wow that's really interesting so this is a copy of some maybe famous painting.
Otherwise how come these paintings are all painting the same vase?

Check gpt seems to think 30s to fifties then after I showed your ones it thinks: "Interwar Post-Impressionist still life painting, c. 1915–1935

It’s a single, fixed studio motif painted multiple times from the same physical setup."

Likely a copy, yes, but perhaps not a famous painting. For one thing, if it was it'd probably come up in an image search.

There are operations that produce multiples of the same identical painting, at fast speed. The overseas ones can be gigantic.

Looks to me like A.MEL didn't see the shadowed edge of the jug on the right, leaving the body of theirs somewhat deficient.

Check gpt seems to think there was an art school or something where they set up the still Life and then whole lots of people came through and painted it.
Is that plausible or is there an original somewhere that somehow got famous....

I wasn't entirely joking when I suggested a television show along the lines of The Joy of Painting/Bob Ross. The left handed one interests me, as though it was painted from a projection of the image.*

    * Or the others were painted from a projection of that one.

Yeah I don't know much about paintings but having a look I actually agree with you in terms of the feeling it does feel like it's got a bit more sort of flair to it

I feel like the black framed one is the only one with an original frame.
