I found a small, printed name on the paper haha "Hallmark".
So, knowing the paper isn't that old I took it off.

He made it. That was the gift. For a significant occasion such as a wedding anniversary.

That just makes me question the monogram even more. Fictitious?

I don't think it's fictitious. It's carefully designed and done. The artist and the gifter may be different individuals.

I was just trying to compare the handwriting. Didn't manage to put together something everyone could easily look at, but, although Jerry's penmanship is much better than mine, & bearing in mind that the lettering on the front is deliberately arty, it is my inexpert opinion that they are not the same hand.

 

Funny, I did that too. And I thought they could well be the same hand.

I'm a long way from certain. Jerry definitely has some aptitude. With a limited number of capital letters to compare & the stylized nature of the writing on the front... I was noticing things like the way the letter M is written on each side.
