Featured Painting with damage

    I know nothing about much but I like the call about it being 30s that was my feel based on the style. But if so then the stretcher has been changed as looks newer.
    I think it's quite nice
    It doesn't look that hard to repair the worst chips for someone who can match paint colour.

    It's probably the same artist. Maybe he lived in Southern California and got stretchers cheap in Mexico. I don't think it was reframed. As an artist, I would be terrible at framing so it's possible he did it himself. I like the style. As far as paintings staying where they are painted - when my son lived in Fresno he found a watercolor of the town of Brewster, MA by a local artist who's a friend of mine.

    And there are plenty of European paintings in North America.
