PV Italy Garlands and Flowers 3-tier stand

    This came from my mom’s estate. She traveled a lot in Europe and I believe bought this stand while traveling. It’s about 19” high. The mark on the bottom is handwritten:
    Italy
    6540
    PV (circled)

    I’d like to know more about it.

    That would be a h** of a thing to carry home from a European trip! The internet identifies the P.V. mark as the abbreviation for Peasant Village, a line imported from Europe by Mittledorfer Strauss, New York. The company used the P.V. trademark for "POTTERY, I.E. EARTHENWARE PLATES AND DISHES, CHINA CANDY DISHES, AND PORCELAIN PLATES AND DISHES" (according to the US Patent and Trademark Office web site) from 1950 on. The trademark expired in 1994.

    Just as a side note, when we went to Europe, my parents bought some glass thingy's and had them ship it back to the USA. And all came in one piece and not a problem.
