help to I.D. sharpening stone,what would you call it

    when i found my first Belgian sharpening stone,years ago i got help from here or the old ebay forum?....almost 8" long x 1-11/16" x 1" ,pretty hard, cant poke a scribe into it.....thanks again!

    Could be a Carborundum Sharpening Stone, they come in many colours.

    ok thanks....was it 10? or 15 years ago when antiquers started..cant remember the name of the fellow who invited me over here?...but i think he has passed since then

    Looks to me like an Arkansas stone. Looks the right colour to me. These are very good sharpening stones!

    geez.. I have a small Arkansas stone in a leather case...... that I haven't seen in years.....

    now , where'd it get to.....??????:facepalm::bag::depressed:
