I only went to one estate sale where the owner was there. The estate company was trying to sell things and she would ask for a higher price or didn't want to sell the items. They couldn't get her to leave. People here are pretty good about following directives and not ruining things, plus the estate sales companies here also have big teams managing the sales.

Most times it's in the TOS that the owners can't be there. Professional outfits often own't allow it.

I have mentioned before that my youngest granddaughter likes to visit thrifts for fashion. She had the day off school and asked if I would take her to a thrift store which I did. She didn't find anything, but I did, LOL. I spotted a small red leather purse and examining it more closely it did indeed say real leather in English and Italian. There was q leather tag inside that said it was made in Firenze (Florence). The red colour goes with my new car! $16.99 CAD. Florence is the leather capital of Italy, and probably of Europe. They make excellent leatherware.
