    Hi folks

something i picked up in an antiques shop(£8) bought on the assumption that it wasn't silver, but still interesting enough to do a little better

the edelweiss makes me presume german/austria

theres a mark in a semi circle on the bottom of the sleigh with H.F

anyone have an idea on the maker, or what the initials are for

    any idea of age ?

and yes i know its sleigh...........

Souvenir pin cushion from somewhere in the Alps. I've seen the mark before, but this could have been made in one country and sold elsewhere. It could be Austrian, German, or Swiss in origin, but could have been sold in Italy. From the velvet on the cushion it's old and sat out in the sun for a long time. I'd think 1950s or even the 30s. They charged 3 of something for it in the gift shop.

As per original question (i'm not looking for a bad generalised vague ebay summary)

any idea what the mark is ?

I say, don't do it. ''Tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune than take up arms.... against one's self!
