IMG_2101.jpeg I bought a pair of these good quality vases today. They remind me a little of George Clewes but aren’t. I wondered if they are maybe Fat Lava with the embossed mark and model number. 81156? View attachment 546443 View attachment 546444

    Any ideas?

Oof! That's a big surgery to be fiddling on your phone the next day! Do all the things they tell you to and no mischief. I hope you heal quickly with no hiccups.

Shoulder replacement? Huh. Mostly, I hear about knee and hip replacements. Hope it works well for you and that you recover quickly!

Now using google lens on one of the vase photos, AI comes up with Japanese murashido bronze, which is a patinated bronze ware. Of course this isn't bronze, but the shape and glaze are rather similar. https://www.hortonlondon.co.uk/en-GB/objets-dart/japanese-murashido-bronze-vase/prod_10631

    Possible inspiration for this vase?

John, take care of yourself and feel better!

I don't know if these versions help or not. I've not found a mark that seems similar yet.
