Need help to identify silver cups marked SILVER word only

    Hello, new here. Needing help to identify this gorgeous silver cup. Mark on the bottom only reads SILVER. Looks like they have been acid tested & they don't magnetize. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    maybe a kiddish cup...... but just the word silver...... is suspect , as it exists as a fake mark as well....

    let';s wait for some silver experts to weigh in........

    Ditto.
    Just "silver" as a mark is/was also used in a few former British colonies. It helps to know in which country you found the cup.

    I actually purchased 5 of them at an estate sale in Arkansas, USA for $30 USD. The estate owner was in the military, so possibly purchased during a deployment. Thank you all.

    I’ve got a dish marked SILVER like that and was reliably told by large Auction house it was likely to be Indian silver.

    I have also seen it on items from Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and other former British colonies.
