These rattles are about 14" (35cm) and have beads of some sort inside them.

(On the Killer Whale, I do not see where it was cut in half / hollowed out...?)

Looks like straight-grain cedar to me.

Not much form line detail, but could they be Northwest Coast?

    Paging (again) my friends @komokwa @all_fakes @2manybooks

    Thanks for looking!

I dunno one way or t'other about NA...but I see evidence of subtle sophistication in each of their execution, Potts; not at all your common whittled stick wannabe stuff. That they don't bear signatures is a bit of a surprise, an' like you, some disappointment.
The eagle is somewhat reminiscent of the iconic Stainless Steel eagle "gargoyles" on the 61st floor of the Chrysler Building, designed by William Van Alen and installed in 1930.

Those are absolutely beautiful. I would KILL to find one out in the wild for a price I could afford (read cheap lol).

Honestly, they were not that expensive. I got that surge of excitement when I found and bought them. (That's what keeps us doing this addiction!)
