Hi, picked up this super cool painting off of Marketplace. Deciding whether to keep it or sell. Only info on back of FRAME is Artist: Booker, Los Angeles. Seems to be acrylic (minimal texture). Frame looks vintage. 18x24". Would love to learn about the artist and also get an idea of value in case I decide to sell. Thanks!

    Hi alex and welcome!

This is a great place for help identifying items as there are people from all over the world with varying interests. The more photos the better especially any potential identifying parts.

Placing monetary value is more difficult because of so many variables such as where you're located, how and where you might sell etc. Places such as past auctions and sales might give some guidance if something can be identified.

Another important variable is whether a work is fine art (i.e. created as genuine artistic expression) or decorative art (i.e. created to hang over a sofa.) Yours does appear to be the latter which is why a photograph of the back would be helpful. As to age... I'd say 1930s give or take.

I've taken the liberty of reposting your photograph in which I've straighten the frame so the work doesn't appear at an angle. (Speaking generally, many OPs don't realize that photographing a painting at an angle or slant alters the perspective and makes it more difficult to evaluate.)
