Antique arc welder

    I have a 1940's model arc welder that still works. Wondering if someone knew what it could be appraised for

    I think you might need a tool site....maybe tool auction site , to get some type of value.

    Hi Big wes - can you take pictures of the labels to get model name and numbers? or at least write them down?

    PaPaws - it's a forum where you might find a collector who know what the value (or wants to buy - you want to sell, right?) :)

    I;d say purely the utility value. I am pretty sure the welders we had at the boatyard were at least that old and are probably still being used.

    Not much likelihood that someone wants it to decorate the mantle

    Someone wanting one for use would certainly prefer a newer model (which is fairly cheap)

    Copper scrap is under $2/lb
