Featured Help identifying painting - signed J. Pollard

This oil on board about 50 X 65 cm is signed J. Pollard bottom right and also on the back. I can't find an artist with that name with similar works. Probably not a listed artist, but it's not a bad work.

 

Well, isn't that nice? Older hand, older frame. I'd think mid-century (but could be wrong.)

There is a John H Pollard (Mid Century) American artist but I can not seem to find works by him....also Jann Pollard although this doesn't appear to be in that style.

 

maybe it's a jackson pollock...

As soon as I saw it I thought 1950s, both the painting and the frame. I like it, I would hang that on my wall

Hi!!! I think this may possibly be my grandma’s. We lost quite a few of her artworks when she passed and some got mixed in with her estate sale items. I’ve been searching for years. Did you have any matches yet? I’d love to know the history of this if possible.
