Featured Any Ralph Lauren Polo Fans? Need Help With a Tag

I'm not totally convinced this tag is authentic. I've never seen the name in all-caps on a shirt or jacket. I've seen it on a tie but not garments. The owner claims this tag was used in the 70's but I haven't been able to find any evidence. I've reached out to Ralph himself, but they do not provide authentication services.

I think what Debora may mean is that those aren't 1970s collar points... and I agree... though I don't know that Polo was on trend with the big collar points of the 70s. (A lapel is a folded back flap of cloth on the front of a jacket or coat that connects to the collar.)
Are there any other kinds of tags anywhere? Or stamped info? Is the polo pony sewn on the chest?
Also, providing a photo of the whole shirt, laid flat so we can see the cut, may be helpful in dating it, which may in turn lead to finding out more about the labels used at that time.

EDIT: I found that Ralph Lauren did indeed make shirts with dagger collars in the early 1970s. Note, however, that the boxed word POLO doesn't yet appear on the label.
