Featured 1974 Grassy Watercolor

This is a good find for the price. Signed 'Hetherington' I think. Dedicated on the back from Doris and framed in Port Arthur Texas.

Any info or comments appreciated.

I imagine you may have found this possible artist. There are quite a few examples on Worthpoint. This one has a lot of info (I haven't vetted it)

Thanks so much @say_it_slowly! I had not found that (having searched for 'Doris Hetherington'). I really appreciate it.

 

I looked on Terapeak and that beach scene painting from Worthpoint sold for $175 + shipping in 2023.

 

That's great! It sure looks like an accomplished artist.

 

Interesting to see how her work got much more assured with age.

Very nice watercolor. I always admire the free, varied strokes and how accomplished watercolorists know when to stop.
