Featured Old Chinese Porcelain Cache/Brush Pot Or Censer

    Bought a couple of these pots. This one stands 3 5/8" tall and measures 4 1/4" across the top and is 3 1/4" deep. Is this a cache pot or a brush pot, maybe a censer? Could anyone help with age?

    The foot sure appears to have been used to support burning incense...but I can't say what its design purpose might have been, nor even guess at its age.

    These are generally sold as brush pots.

    I'm surprised by the number of similars that come up with a Google Images search. And that's what I'm seeing them described as too.
