Featured Can't find information about this chair. Anyone have any ideas?

    I found this chair in the US, but can't identify what country or time period it might have come from. Trying to decide if it is safe to repair it without devaluing it. If it was rare I would guess we should not repair it with glue. It is approximately 40" tall, 15" wide at the top, 13" wide at the bottom. The coloring of the wood is reddish in color.

    That's a very interesting chair. I'm looking forward to what the furniture people have to say about it.

    Slight art nouveau look to it. Id guess 1900 give or take. Its a pretty thing.

    Nice side chair ~ a step up from the masses in terms of the pleasing design and better construction .. 7 cross stretchers and figured grain on the seat. Love to know the wood type ? Agree on the Nouveau influence and c. 1900.

    Ditto the above.... Wood appears to be maple with a stain. Not a typical American design so could be European in origin. Ok to repair it. Looks like it has been refinished and had some work done already.
