The 4 smaller ones have ~1 3/4" diameter wheels, ~5/8 thick, with ~11/16" wide hubs on ~9/32" axles. Their legs are ~2 5/8" long, tapering from ~7/16" to ~1/4"; weight each is ~3 3/4 oz.

The 2 large ones have ~1 15/16" wheels, ~1 1/16" thick, with ~1 3/16" wide hubs on ~3/16" axles. Their legs are ~3 1/4" long, tapering fro ~9/16" to ~7/16"; weight each is ~8 1/2 oz.

There would have been iron sockets around their legs, perhaps split, I think; all of them have just enough wear at the big end to suggest they were in such sleeves while installed.

Can anyone say whether these are European, or American...an' roughly when this style of furniture caster was popular?
    Thanks for lookin'!

Or some such. Household wheels were most often wooden.

When I posted the above I knew there was a set of sleeves for the group of 4...but hadn't found them; here they are.

Also cast-iron, they are cylindrical inside & out. Outer diameter is 0.650", inner is 0.440"; depth is ~2 1/2". Their shoulder is 0.870" diameter, 0.195" thick.
I suppose they could have been hospital casters, but have doubts that was exclusive; again, I sure would like to have an idea where made, an' roughly when.

Not much help here, but when I saw them my immediate reaction was that they might be from a vintage medical cabinet?

Pre-WWII enameled steel? Glass doors? I can see it. My dream kitchen, to go off on a tangent, is cabinetry and counters made for use in a chemistry or medical lab. The cabinet would fit right in - dead perfect spice cabinet!

Yeah...made to be inserted into bores in wooden legs of some heft, rather than formed sheet steel, methinks.

Maybe kitchen wheels, with those big steel sleeves. If they were meant to be used somewhere that would get wet constantly, like a kitchen floor, glass wheels would make sense.

They came to me together, but the major size anomaly an' the different iron pattern has long led me to believe they were not part of the same appliance...bicbw.

    Morgue Wheels...Of COURSE!
Why didn't I think of that?

Those would likely have been bigger, for something heavier. A wooden kitchen table I can see with glass wheels. A ..."cart" in a morgue might crush the glass wheels when in use.
