Featured Small Native American? Rug ID

    Can anyone tell me the origin of this small rug? Measures 11" x 11 1/2". Some fading.

    That's a Navajo 'Gallup throw', one of the only instances where fringe can be found on a Navajo weaving (and only on one side). These were commonly made starting in the 1930's and sold to tourists passing through the US Southwest.

    It's decorative. Put it on a table, book shelf, under your favorite Pueblo pot, etc. But probably don't put a plant with water on it!
