Featured Frosted Glass Lamp with Scottish Terrier Motif

    Scotties were popular in the 1930s and 40s because of President Roosevelt's dog Fala. I had a Scottie dog in the early to mid-1970s, so I often received gifts of Scottie figurines and other items. My dog, Duffy, lived 7 years, but got cancer and had to be euthanized. The lamp still works.

    I have a Houze (confirmed) Scottie ink blotter in green opaque glass.

    These are a pair (front and side views) of hand-carved Scottie figurines that my mother's great-uncle made. There's a family legend that he charged up San Juan Hill with Teddy Roosevelt in the Spanish American War. I can't confirm that - it's just a tale related to me by my mom.
