I picked it up this morning.
It's a keeper and at $200 and sweat deal.
I'm working on a phonograph now, but will bump this to the front of the restoration queue.

That isn’t a light socket in the flower is it? What a cool find!

Both flowers have lamp sockets. I am blown away by it. I first saw it seven hours after it had been posted and was then on pins and needles for about 20 hours until I got a reply.

I'm certain it will challenge me, :inpain: but I'll do my best.

This is my current challenge. Lots of tedious mending and gluing and waiting.

I worked on one other horn with far less damage. It only had similar structural damage at the narrow end. That success provides the confidence for this project. :joyful:

I somehow lost the first half of the above post.

    The mirror is about 20" x 15".

It was a year ago when I found this beauty. I searched for and bought an airbrush to use in its restoration. Then my mother-in-law passed in May. My wife and I got 95% of the business end of death completed the 1st of this year. I've gotten back into my projects this year. This past week I began work on this mirror.

    :peeking: Here's just a peek ...

The signature was filled with crust, so I scraped that out. The blotchiness is surface corrosion and oxidation of the zinc. Luckily, most of that happened on the base. I cleaned and scrubbed a few times. Some surfaces were pimply, so, out came very fine sandpaper and a gentle hand to flatten those protrusions. That smoothed it without any new issues. Next was the airbrush and Testors model paint. I'm trying to retain the look of age. I'm happy with the progress.
