Antique weight?

Found something similar (auction listing) described as antique Arabic bird seal stamp (looks possibly older). But that had a round base and more importantly some calligraphy. This one’s base is also bevelled ,could it be some kind of hand press? Just a ornament? File marks on the base. It’s 8cm tall and weighs just over 250g. Thank you for any comments
