It's a very pretty ring, Marko.

Thank you! I will try to get a better picture after I have it sized. From my research, it's a constellation ring. My dad would take me outside on cold winter nights and point out the constellations to me. He would also take me outside to see the huge geese migrations. I heard a flock of geese fly over earlier, then found this. I think Dad was saying hello.

Constellation ring! Love it. I found out last night that a "junk jewelry" brooch I've had is sterling silver. Years ago I bought brooches on ebay for fun, and some were music themed. One of the trumpet brooches turned out to be sterling. Are people saving sterling now to cash in like gold?

Lots of refineries aren't buying it, but ordinary people are stashing it. Including me, when I find it well under melt. As for the ring, leaving it sitting under glass would have been a waste.

My husband was even wowed, and he cares not for all things bling. Thanks.

My mom isn't into jewelry either, but if the design is cool enough she can understand it. She understands "well under melt" too.:greedy::greedy::D:D:D

I have just one thrift that still sells silverplated flatware for $1 a piece (it's non-existent in all my other shops unless it's a complete set.) I found this obscure pattern from a maker who didn't make a whole lot....I will post it on the silver board to see if anyone can ID a pattern.

Not a crazy money piece, but BC art is a rarity here.

Posting on the glass/pottery board because I don't know Lalique from T. J. Maxx.

It's certainly cheerful. I can tell it's not Lalique and likely not Italian. Beyond that....not making guesses.

Nice find this week at the thrift store. 6" diameter sterling bowl by Fisher in the style of Georg Jensen. They haven't put out any sterling in a long time so, hopefully, this is a start of a new trend. 123 g. For $40
