    Rightly or wrongly, most of the jewellery made with actual beetle carapaces that I have seen over the years seems to be described as Victorian.

    1870s onward.
    No idea why people think it is a good idea to dsiplay earrings between their fingers so you can't see them very well, let alone display them like that while wearing bright red nailpolish.
