    Oh it's like Democrats and Republicans when it comes to shining brass. Both sides can be vociferous about yea or nay. My personal rule of thumb is shine your brass (although it doesn't require it often) and leave your bronze alone.

    It's OK if used properly, but it has a long bad history with some OG eBay refugee posters. We remember a little too well. I don't think I could let it into the house.

    I understand. I'm a coin guy so I'm suspicious of any kind of cleaning.

    I found a handful of pennies in the supermarket parking lot on Wednesday. I didn't even wash them off.(LOL)

    nope...but there's enuf in circulation....and home collection jars......to keep them going for 50 years.

    Not to mention all of the Canadian ones that filtered south over the years. If all else fails, retailers could start unofficially accepting those.

    Doesn't mean you won't. I haven't seen one in the wild in forever either, but lots of folks go roll hunting in search of scarce coinage. Sometimes they find it.
