So, I was recently at an estate auction with a lot of Easter decorations. The item I was going to the sale for was misplaced and would be in an upcoming sale. So, in order to not waste a trip, I acquired about half of the antique/vintage eggs they had among a few other nicer items. I will freely admit that I know very little about this type of collectable and was hoping that some of the folks here could enlighten me a bit. All of the one's I purchased seem to have some age to them and the estate was a 60-year collection of a couple of serious collectors.

    Thanks - Joe2007

While I don't know much about these as a collectible, I do know that I remember these from when I was a child. My mom's side was mostly German from way back and we had a bunch of these in the house and used them at Easter. I loved them. They were filled with treats and we searched for them all over the house and sometimes the yard. They're fabulous.

The sold prices on eBay seem to depend on age and total cuteness of the decoration. It looks like you have really nice ones.

We also had them when I was a child.
