Lastly, this thrift locks up any Barbie they think is valuable, even modern ones. She is a repro American Girl Barbie, and I know the repros, but I couldn't identify her. She came from this gift set. Here is a sold price from ebay, along with the sale price of a similar blonde repro. I have been looking for a vintage blonde for my collection, but this repro is gorgeous for $3.

I never saw the originals or the repro. Then again I was only into Barbie for making the clothes. I never was into the dolls.

I loved my Barbies. I prefer the brunettes, then redheads. My sister and I got the same dolls, but I got the dolls with brunette hair, and she got the dolls with blonde hair. Once in awhile, we got the same doll. Here are two original Barbie American Girls from my collection.

The redheads appeal more to me too.
