Large print of a sad looking family

My mom really liked this picture. The adults look so sad. Mom thought it was because one of their children had died since there is an empty chair at the table. Unfortunately there's no room for it in my new house. I've had it out at my garage sales since I moved and no one even looks at it. Any opinions on it?
