    Hi all

Total newbie to this and hope someone can help me or set me on the right track

I recently come into possession of 4 dining room chairs. They are all carvers which to me is a bit strange. They are lovely and look hand carved but i could be wrong, I think they may be Oak or Walnut but again I'm not sure. I believe that they may have been recovered at some point and 2 of them have faded.

Here is a link to the photos https://www.dropbox.com/sh/im5p0zduiichkb3/AADN0pE8_a9qEPXtamDuhClCa?dl=0

Thank you in advance for any help that you can provide me :)

Just curious but . . . do all four chairs have armrests? What is the height of the armrest(s)?

The arms are 61cm from the floor to the top and 29cm from the top of the base to the top of the arm

I think you have oak chairs done in a French Provincial style.
    My guess is 1950s - 1970s.
I think the upholstery has been redone at some point.

    Wait for Brad.

French Louis XV style chair. I think the time frame given above is about right. I don't think these are oak. Maybe beech with a bit of stain. Italy would be a likely source if not actually French.
