My step sister is getting married and wants a lace table cloth for her dessert table.
She wants one similar in the picture below and would like it to be antique/vintage.
What I think she likes about it is how it swoops down and the simple pattern.

Is there a certain type keyword for the type of "pattern", edge or era I need to be looking for? tablecloth.jpg

To me it looks like that is three overlapping tablecloths.

Ooooh, something I know about! Yes, it does look like multiple tablecloths...it is a circular crocheted Pineapple pattern. If I get a chance I'll see if i can find an actual pattern.

Clever idea -- but the visible legs are a distraction and a deterrent.

A thought: ask among the relatives. It may be that someone has a lace tablecloth(s), that could be lent for the cause. I haven't used mine in a number of years, but it's still here. Mine, however wouldn't do as it is off-white.

I am traveling with this theme here: lace table cloth over colored table cloth to match the bridesmaids' dresses; lace tablecloth over white satin (sheets work).

And, incidentally, such lace tablecloths make Lovely bedspreads for the guestroom!

I thought it might be a few different table cloths.
Thank you for helping with the pattern! There are actually a lot of pretty pineapple tablecloths out there!!

Around here they turn up at estate sales and people have a hard time giving them away. A couple of good Pinterest posts could fix that. They aren't hard to find; everyone's Grandma made at least one, and no one seems to want them any more. Crying shame really, but a good opportunity for you.

We did an estate sale back in September of a 90 year old lady who had TONS of older table cloths.
I never really got a chance to look at them because we were so busy the whole time, but I know we sold them for low prices and sold almost all of them.

Im still kicking myself for not taking the time to look over them..
I love a tablecloth, I have younger boys and dont entertain so theyd just sit in a drawer, but Id still like knowing I had them and theyd be kept safe for another few years

SeaGoat, oddly enough, that very thought is often in the back of my mind when I decide to hang on to something that I absolutely do not need...

The second I get rid of it, I need it.(LOL) Happens all the time.

If you found a regular rectangular table cloth, you could get the scalloped effect by hitching up the cloth at regular intervals. The visible legs problem could be avoided by putting a plain long table cloth under the lace one.

Or you could put a scalloped shorter cloth over a longer one.
