THOUGHTS ON 2 LARGE SURREAL PAINTINGS FOUND IN THRIFT STORE YESTERDAY

I saw these as I turned the corner in a local thrift store & was so happy with them - I missed 2 others that were signed! (they were of a surreal couple with square/block heads & very cool)- the guy who got those 2 (and didn't want to sell or trade me one!) told me my first one looked like Wilfredo Lam?
Any thoughts on these? Why would neither be signed if they went to the trouble & cost of framing them?
    They are large (biggest is 23" x 29" + w/the frame 34" x 38")
    Thanks for any help

have you taken them out of the frame to see if there is a signature verso?

Nice and bright paintings, journey, but not surreal.

    They look good.
The first thing I always do when in doubt is take the painting out of the frame to see if there is a signature or any other information on the back.
