That's great, @Debora -- The librarian in me can't help asking, what is/are the source(s) for this information? Is it one source, or compiled from a variety of sources?
The bio came from a listing of a Koepf painting on Chairish, if I remember correctly. Apparently, it had been saved (by someone) and the seller thoughtfully posted with photographs of artwork. Let's see if I can find... Yes, I did remember correctly. Here you go. https://www.chairish.com/product/14...tract-blue-birch-oil-painting-by-werner-koepf Debora
Thank you, @Debora -- that helps, although it doesn't say where they got the information. It still sounds like it came from an authoritative source. They might have expanded the information that appears in brief in Who Was Who in American Art, which is generally highly abbreviated.
The information does sound authoritative enough. And it references his "own hand-written summary of his career" which implies the author had access. Debora
Interesting... On his 1940 draft registration card, he lists his employer as "Jan Vink" who, according to the internet, was an architect based in New Bedford, NY. Debora
That’s interesting Debora. I also saw him in Who was Who. My Dad had many many antique books. That book and a few sales was all I ever found out about him.
