Featured Old Oval Tilt-Top Table

    If you notice, seller in Title says "candlestand" but in his updated condition report on his website it says "tea" table.
    Kind of confusing, I would guess this is in fact a tea table because the top is almost 34 inches in diameter which seems to large for a candlestand.
    Most round tilt top better example period American tea tables swivel or turn, "lazy susan" style around a post in "bird cage" and, i am guessing this is where there is confusion between the two. If it doesn't turn, they call it a candlestand even though it really is a tea table.

    This table has a highly suspicious top - i.e. likely replaced, so a preview would be necessary before bidding. The fact that the auctioneer doesn't call that out in their description is typical of "buyer beware" needed when looking at auctions. I see another of their auctions in the same sale with a clearly replaced tilt top that they also failed to mention.
