Hello. Please tell me the origin and the age of this item. Asking on various Facebook groups, I received different answers, starting from Delft, 18th century original piece, to Delft revival French faïence from 19th century or early 20th. The object came from France. Thank you.

I would say French, ca 1900.
Possibly from Rouen, but I'll tag @say_it_slowly for you, she will know more about it.

Bearing in mind that I know very, very little about European faience, I would think French because it came from France and that the decoration isn't much like any Spanish or Italian stuff I've seen. But I hope that say_it_slowly chimes in. I'm just another vote for French.

I apologize in advance because I don't know. Most of my delftware/faience is either Dutch or English with only a little French, Italian or other. The base on yours doesn't seem terribly old to my eye and the painting is rather free so not at all sure what to think really.

Basically I just went and stared at some of my things, some of which date back into the 18th C, and the only piece I have that is somewhat similar in pattern style is Dutch. I know that because the Dutch tend to be very good at marking their pieces and mine is marked for Makkum and can be dated to the 1890-1947 time period according to Van Hook's book "Discovering Dutch Delftware".

It's about all I can offer and I'm not at all sure as yours doesn't really scream Dutch to me.

Here is my older Makkum vase and my other Makkum vase that is the more modern version.

The more recent one, after 1947
