I have an old framed bit of art, Around the Fish by Paul Klee. It was framed by the House of Frames in Detroit, a business that no longer exists. I expect it is from the 1950's, possibly earlier. The framehaas no paper on it, the material is kept in using nails, no clips. The corners of the frame have strange circular inserts that might help identify the age??

Would you be kind enough to post a photograph of the back including frame please. And a close up of the framer's sticker? And what is the medium? Is it a print? Or a painted copy?

framer cut off the work with a too tight matt.... so I suspect repro as well.

Well, it has to be a reproduction as the original is in MOMA. And its age is unlikely to have an impact on its value. The "circular inserts" are called dowels, by way.
