Chinese Chalkware Statues

Asian themed but I guess could have been made anywhere. The pieces show some age but don't know if antique. Maybe the dress style can give a clue about the period. I wonder if Chinese worked with plaster prior to 20th century?

 

I can see they are old, but they look like stewardesses at Malaysian airw....

 

This little dude is even in worse condition. Wonder if they are really old or were kept outside?

 

One guy has a pipe, so I don't think they're stewardesses!
