Giant Antique Padlock

    I just picked up the giant hand forged padlock. This thing is about 12 inches long and weighs 2 pounds. Any idea of the age or country of origin??

    That’s very cool. Image search says: “This is an antique wrought iron temple door lock, likely from 18th-century Nepal or Tibet”

    Hard saying. Made the same way for many many years. India could also be a source. There are also reproductions being made. This looks better and is larger than any of the reproductions I have seen, so may well be legitimate. Would say at least early 20th century but could be quite a bit older.
