HELP IDENTIFY--maker age or any information on antique buckle

I actually listed this and ended it after one day...it was starting to get watchers but it was driving me crazy not knowing anything about it...THIS WAS MADE IN 2 PIECES..THERE IS THE NUMBER 12 ON BOTH..THE CROSS SLIDES AROUND INSIDE THE FRAME...LOOKS HAND CHASED AND IS VERY THICK AND HEAVY WITH HONEST WEAR AND PATINA..i would like to know who made it and its age....thanks in advance for your help...andy

Have you done a Google Images search? A search will bring up similars associated with the Knights Templar. Here's an example. (eBay item #166087227293)

close but mine looks much older..i did a google lens and found an almost identical one but it was written in a weird language....

 

Listed on an Asian site as "Freemason Knights Templar Buckle" URL does not go to the page

 

From the number of similars to be found on the internet... It's going to be a late 19th century Masonic Knights Templar belt buckle. (There are a variety of designs.)
