Can anyone help identify this unusual vintage bee matchbox holder?

My Grandparents owned this for several years and I have been unable to find another example.

It is an unmarked gilt-metal matchbox holder weighing 33 g. It has a three-dimensional bee on the lid with three turquoise-coloured cabochons and a small pearl (probably faux). It is 4.5cm wide. The inside is lined with thin wood and holds a standard cardboard matchbox.

There are no hallmarks, maker's marks or country of origin anywhere on it. Google Lens has suggested Italy, but I've found no identical examples.

Does anyone recognise the maker, country of origin or approximate date?

    Welcome!
Where in the world was it found? (This is an international forum and the location of the item is often very helpful.)
THIS matchbox holder listed on Etsy has the same star background and retains the original Mirella sticker. Mirella was a UK maker. These were popular gift items in the mid-20th century.

That's going to be 1950s-1960s. Apparently, the company produced dressing table accessories.
